We got hit with yet another snow storm today. I used the unexpected free time at home to put away the last of the winter decorations and put out the Easter decorations. My older son loves these two bunnies so I put them out to make him happy.
Then I cooked up a batch of Indian rice pudding. I fell in love with this creamy dessert when I was in grad school. My friends and I used to go out to eat at a local Indian restaurant becuase the food was served buffet-style (a big plus when you're living lean on a graduate stipend) and it was all so good. This pudding, scented with cardamom and almonds and prepared with fragrant basmati rice was always my favorite and remains one of my go-to comfort foods.
