Sorry for my lack of posts this week, but I've been sick with strep throat (delightful, I know). It was making the rounds in my sons' daycare, so it was only a matter of time before I picked it up.
The New York Times published a piece about this book about two weeks ago. It sounded great, so I bought a copy over the weekend. I fell in love with this book right from the first page. It's full of eye-popping inspiration for frugal decorators everywhere. My favorite thing about this book is that it celebrates thrift store shopping rather than making it seem like a last-ditch attempt to decorate your home on a budget. It's full of beautiful images of gorgeous rooms decorated with unique items. It even has sections about how to spot a quality piece, how to refinish furniture and how to incorporate thrift finds into your own home.
I love this book.
I love it so much that I went out and bought a second copy so that I could give it away to one of my readers. So if you'd like to enter the drawing, just leave a comment (about anything - I'm not picky) and I'll pick a winner on Sunday at 6:30 pm EST.
